Infertility Evaluation

Initial Consultation:

• A detailed discussion of medical history, lifestyle factors, and previous fertility treatments.
• Identification of any symptoms or conditions that may affect fertility.
  
  

Physical Examination:

• A thorough physical examination to check for any obvious abnormalities.
• Gynecological examination for women and urological examination for men, if necessary.
  
  

Hormonal Testing:

• Blood tests to evaluate hormone levels such as FSH, LH, estrogen, progesterone, TSH, and prolactin in women.
• Hormonal evaluation for men, including testosterone levels.
  
  

Ovarian Reserve Testing:

• Assessment of a woman’s ovarian reserve through AMH levels and antral follicle count (AFC).
• Ultrasound to evaluate the number and quality of ovarian follicles.
  
  

Semen Analysis:

• Evaluation of sperm count, motility, and morphology.
• Additional tests if abnormalities are found in the initial semen analysis.
  
  

Imaging Tests:

• Transvaginal ultrasound to assess the uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes in women.
• Hysterosalpingography (HSG) to check for blockages in the fallopian tubes.
  
  

Ovulation Monitoring:

• Tracking ovulation through blood tests, ultrasound, or ovulation predictor kits.
• Evaluation of luteal phase progesterone levels.
  
  

Endometrial Evaluation:

• Assessment of the uterine lining through ultrasound or biopsy to ensure it is suitable for embryo implantation.
  
  

Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy:

• Minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat conditions such as endometriosis, adhesions, or uterine abnormalities.
  
  

Genetic Testing:

• Genetic screening for both partners to identify any hereditary conditions affecting fertility.
• Chromosomal analysis and other advanced genetic tests as needed.
